This comprehensive program equips you with the skills to operate trucks and trailers over 8t GVM, including prime movers and mobile cranes with trailers exceeding 9t GVM.

To qualify, you must have held an MR or HR licence for at least 12 months.

Our “Licence in a Day” course, available at the Southside Brisbane location, includes 6 hours of practical training and a 1-hour driving test with QLD Transport.

Choose from three types of HR licences:

Condition A (Automatic),
Condition B (Syncromesh and Automatic), and
Non-Restricted (Non Syncromesh)

Drive a Truck or Bus:

Eligible to drive vehicles (including prime movers or mobile cranes) over 8.0 ton GVM with 3 or more axles, or articulated buses.



HC Licence Eligibility

To upgrade to an HC (Heavy Combination) license, you must have held a MR or HR license for at least 12 months.

HC Licence Types:



Heavy Combination - Condition A (HCA):

Automatic gearboxes only.
Suitable for those who prefer or are required to use automatic transmission vehicles



Heavy Combination - Condition B (HCB):

Syncromesh (single clutch like a manual car) and automatic gearboxes.
Ideal for drivers who need flexibility with both syncromesh and automatic transmissions.



Heavy Combination - Non-Restricted:

Non Syncromesh (Double Clutch per gear change – Road Ranger/Crash Box).
For drivers trained in double clutching and operating Road Ranger/Crash Box transmissions. This option is available from selected locations.
