MR - Medium Rigid Truck Licence Training

This course allows you to drive trucks or buses over 8t GVM with a maximum of 2 axles.
You’ll also be able to tow trailers up to 9t GVM. To qualify, you need a car licence held for at least 12 months and must pass the Heavy Vehicle theory test with QLD Transport, which can be completed on the same day as your practical driving test.

MR Licence Eligibility
To upgrade to an MR (Medium Rigid) licence, you must have held a car licence (minimum Red Plates) for at least 12 months. Additionally, you need to complete the Heavy Vehicle theory test with QLD Transport, which can be taken on the same day as your practical driving test.
